Rob Durnin is a composer and performer, student at the academy of music in Copenhagen, and member of contemporary ensemble K!art. The piano is treated as an organic object with resistance and response - to be treated with care, by having the player perform as if on a tightrope, playing sounds of the edge of audibility and requiring very light touch. The physicality of stroking/scraping the instrument is choreographed into a slow dance across the range of the keyboard.
