Kiril Kozlovski was born on the 3rd of May 1981 in Mogilev (Belarus). He has studied piano at the Belarusian Academy of Music with Irina Semenyako and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris and Matti Raekallio. Kozlovsky graduated from the Sibelius Academy of Music’s piano department in the spring of 2005, and studied at Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien under prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian from 2004-2008. Kozlovsky has also taken part in several master classes with among others Dmitri Bashkirov, Peter Nagy, Ivari Ilja, Ralf Gothoni and András Schiff, and has been successful in several national and international piano competitions; Finland Festival’s 2005 “Young Artist of the Year”,
the Jyväskylä Piano Competition in Finland (1st prize, 2004), at the 7th “Ciutat de Mallorca” International Piano Competition in Spain (1st prize, 2003), and 1st prize at the 2nd International Piano Competition of the Chopin Centre in Paris, 1998.
Kiril Kozlovsky has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many international festivals in France, Germany, Switzerland, Estonia and Spain. As a soloist he has performed with Minsk Chamber Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, Oulu Sinfonia a.o. Kozlovsky performs regularly in Finland and abroad.
