Erik Lindman-Mata (born 1992) recently finished his studies in composition at Gotland School of Composers. Previously, between 2008 – 2011, he has been studying composition with Mattias Svensson-Sandell, head teacher of Gotland School of Composers. Since 2009 there have been eight first performances of his pieces, by various ensembles.
His compositional preferences are currently centred around the concepts of friction, movement and perception. In addition, he is very interested in the creative and compositional processes, and tries to make every piece a study of his own working process.
