Einar Kyvik Bauge is 22 years old, born in Bergen and grown up in Oslo. Seven years old he started playing the violin, and soon joined Nordstrand Youth Symphony Orchestra. For many years his violin teacher was John Westbye, and when he was 15 he was admitted to Barratt Due Institute of Music, then as a viola player. Later he has studied at Foss Upper Secondary School, and completed a Bachelor’s program at the Norwegian Academy of Music with professor Morten Carlsen. This autumn he will continue at the Academy on a Master’s program with professor Lars Anders Tomter. Einar is, beside studies, a member of the chamber orchestra “Ensemble Allegria”.
